I am looking for some 2000' and 1600' reels for 16mm. Cheap ones, anyone know if there's stores in Europe that seels these sizes? Also would love to get my hands on cardboard boxes for 1600' and some cans for 2000'

Thank you

Dearest Vidar,

too bad I'm not in Europe but have these two 2000 footers that can each fit 2 reels :/... These are as good as 4 separate cans, even better, as you can store a full feature in just one of em! Check out these pics if you think you'll be interested. I have four more 1,500 footers if you'd be interested as well, for your shorts, maybe? Thanks again [Big Grin] !!!

P.S: Oops, I just realized you said reels lol... I'm sorry [Big Grin] !!!

Best,
ET

Thanks, but we are having the same shipping obstacle again :-) That's why I wanted from Europe. And I do want boxes and cans too :-)

Hope you do okay with your 16mm. Did you go back to 8mm too?

Have a good day

Too bad Vidark because I know of a local collector or two with LOTS of reels they want to get rid of for free. But shipping from Los Angeles to your doorstep would add up greatly, I think.

It might work out, as there's no tax on free items. 1600' and 2000'? Any boxes, cans?

I am interested and if it all works out nicely, I can pay them a little for it

Thank you. I thonk Paul Foster only had a few left. I am interested in some 20 of each

Dearest Vidar,

good to hear from you in a long time [Smile] !!! I haven't gone back to 8mm, no. But I am getting into 16mm HARD. Just got an excellent (newly serviced n almost hardly used) Eiki SSL-0 n am in love. Lemme know if you would still be interested in the cans as I'm sure empty cans wouldn't be that affected if we decided to go the 'ground postage' route? I should say "hopefully" lol... Also, I found out that the 2000 footer cans are actually 35mm cans, which explains how they can fit two 16mm reels each. Please do keep in touch and thanks again [Smile] !!!

Best,
ET

Sorry for the name misspelling, Vidar. There aren't any boxes or cans on the reels I'm referring to. They're pretty much all 1600' with a mix of metal (heavy) or plastic.

What sort of quantity are you wishing for?
