... and a traditionnal seafront amusement park!
Dreamland Park, in Margate (Kent, UK) is in danger!
The facility, that features the listed 1920 "Scenic Railway" wooden roller coaster and a classic film theatre built in 1935, is under the threat of being demolished, to make way for a shopping center and a housing project.
But the city of Margate doesn't need another shopping center and another housing project. The city of Margate, the economy of which relies mainly on tourism, needs to keep its main tourist attraction alive.
A campaign to save the park, its coaster and its cinema, was launched in 2003. It's going stronger and stronger, counting 13000+ members from every part of the world.
You too can join the campaign (it's free, and you don't have to live in South-East UK to be a member) and help saving this important piece of heritage...
