Good Lord! How long must that have taken? Someone has too much time on their hands, to be sure!

This seller has been known writting the description in such kind. I have addressed it on Ebay Oddities thread (where actually this post should be...before Kevin gets mad [Smile] ) here.

Check also his feedback (he has good rating though) and click on his completed list, all his 8mm films were described with very long story...but they are sold! (some with godd prices too), despite those were only home movies.

I got a learn from him that a big effort will harvest something!

cheers

Guys, I copied his description to MS Words and putting on standard report format (i.e Arial, 12 Font and 1.5 space).

Guess what?, There are total 21 pages, 7,565 words, 45,640 characters!!!!

The odd thing is that he is'nt even explaining the content of the film, just background wikipedia-style informations about the various topics... (Disneyland, Redwood, Neon signs...)

Must be cut and pasted from somewhere, right? Who in their right mind would do that kind of research for an old home movie?

Most of that text is definitely copied from somewhere, as Scott suspects... the writing style and clean paragraph layout are dead giveaways (IMHO). Still, that seller took a lot of time and care with those gorgeous still images taken from the film. They're almost worthy of a good telecine! [Eek!]
