Members will know that I am a fan of British B Features and the satellite channel "Movies4Men". I have just been watching the Monarch release, "Lilli Marlene" (1950) starring the little known actress, Lisa Daniely. It's an entertaining picture set in war-time North Africa, some drama, humour and an occasional good old sing-song. Veteran comedian Richard (Stinker) Murdoch makes an amusing cameo performance. The titles say that it is digitally re-mastered and released by Renown. It is a great pity that the restorers didn't try to obscure the countless home-made cue marks which are a real pain, there is absolutely no reason to so mutilate a film. The DVD is available from Renown themselves, but you can get it cheaper from Renown via Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lilli-Marlene-DVD-Lisa-Daniely/dp/B0029498DK/ref=aag_m_pw_dp?ie=UTF8&m=A2WEYVL348V1BN
