I wish International Talk Like a Pirate Day fell on a Friday instead. I could use a three day weekend.

I misunderstood.....I thought it was Talk Like a Pilot Day. I'll have to stop saying things like "It's a good landing if you can still get the doors open" and "What's the difference between a duck and a co-pilot? The duck can fly."

I think there's room for just one more film.....

Reminds me of the good old days watching Captain Pugwash and his Bosun Seaman Staynes. [Big Grin]

I still long to get on a plane and just as I sit down, happen to proclaim loudly, "Hope the plane don't crash" ...

but then, airlines don't have much of a sense of humor for statements like that anymore .... hee hee hee! Devious lil ole OSI!! [Razz]

My son beat you to it!

Back in 1998 we went to Disneyworld and since I had a ton of frequent flyer miles back then we flew down there first class.

Here we are with the deluxe leather seating and complimentary mimosas when my adorable little 6 year old asks out loud "Is there a bomb on the plane?"

The flight attendant sweetly smiled and said "Honey, we don't say things like that here, OK".

Oh.....yeah.....

ARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Guy, is The Mystery of the Mary Celeste starring Bela Lugosi. I have always hoped it would come up on TV. I have an advert for it in a 1935 film mag.

Don't you just love these disaster movies:
Pilot: I'm low on fuel and one engine has stopped.
Ground Control: What's your height and position?
Pilot: I'm five feet two and sitting down.

But who knows...it sounds good though...we need a bit of a boost [Smile]
