The Clangers, the pink, mouse-shaped creatures that first appeared on BBCtv in 1969 are set to return to the small screen due to a £5m deal to revive the cult animated series.

The original co-creator, Peter Firmin, will be executive producer, and the stories and scripts will be written by the late co-creator Oliver Postgate's son, Dan.

Here's an episode Clangers And "The stop-motion animation method will still be used, albeit in technically advanced form." At least no crap CGI.

While on that youtube page why not take a nostalgic trip back with some of the other clips. Took me back I must admit.

Did they get released on super 8 at one time?

Yay loved them! Lets hope they keep the kitchen foil on card opening title sequence and get plenty of green soup.

Osi,
It's easy enough to order from Amazon UK. It's also pretty easy to hack your player to play Region 2 discs.
Here ya go:

Osi that link I put on has the title sequence for them. That's what I mean by taking you back.

Also wanted one of those banana buggies.

All those opening themes pure nostalgia. It must be because you're younger that you remember them, or were they just better?
