Francis Matthews died at the weekend he appeared in a couple of Hammer films Rasputin: The Mad Monk & Dracula: Prince of Darkness. He also played 'Paul Temple' on TV.

And of course 'Captain Scarlet' voice.

A couple of his films have been on 8mm.

He also appeared in another Hammer film 'Revenge Of Frankenstein' and 'Corridors Of Blood' which had an 8mm release.

For a while he was a member of the Britmovie Forum where he would tell us about his career and answer questions members asked him.

According to the local paper, the captain scarlet voiceover was a mimic of tony Curtis doing an impression of Cary grant, all this for a puppet series, which worked so well. R.I.P captain Scarlet.

An enjoyable and relaxing screen presence. He also appeared in The Saint and The Avengers not to mention with Morecambe and Wise. Condolences to his children on their sad loss.
