Before you file a claim, make sure that the amount of time allotted by ebay for the package to arrive, has passed. I've found that when I have had to file claim, if the package is slated for an expected arrival, (and sometimes that last date for it to arrive can be very far off), and you are wanting to file a claim before the actual date has arrived, they'll just notify you of this, and you've wasted you're time.

Also, if it turns out that the seller has in all actuality and truth, been ripping you off, please inform us of who and how you have been ripped off, so that the community of collectors doesn't go to this person for a purchase. However, be sure of that ahead of time.

For instance, did the person offer you a tracking number to track the package? If the seller did, and you were able to track the package most of the way, but then it disappeared
along the way, the seller is obviously not responsible and it all come down to, unfortunately bad postal workers.

I once bought a package off of ebay, from an ebay seller in the UK, (I have mentioned it here before on this forum, so no need for more details), who never offered any proof that he sent it, (except for false package numbers, for packages that never existed), and only recently have I remembered the seller, only because he made himself known on ebay again. So, I feel you're pain if you have been "snookered".

All the best ... good luck!

I'm sure members, including me, would be grateful if you could give us details of that seller so that we can avoid getting stung in the same way. I hope you reported him/her to EBay.

Yes sometimes it happens that things get lost or people get scammed. I have had to file a paypal claim for a projector that was coming from Italy and I was never sent tracking, seller never replied, etc. But I got all my funds back.
Then I had someone file against me as well. It turned out the item was in customs. It all ended well and once the items were received the paypal dispute was dropped. Good luck!
