Those of you who subscribe to Classic Images are probably aware that Rand Eastin, the son of the founder of Blackhawk is writing a book on the history of the company.

Just heard - Well, I knew it wouldn't be me - I certainly hope John Black's efforts can be mentioned though - I'll be first in line for an inscribed copy - Shorty

Thanks for sharing the news. I will be looking forward to this. It would also be really interesting to see the info John Black knew and gathered as well.

His family has his paperwork I'm sure, I tried (and still am) to get in touch - Some of his efforts were printed in Reel-Image - Will see if I can help on the book, though it's late already, don't know if I can add much to the project

I hear from Rand on occasion, still at work - I gave him all I had on the company and ofered to help in any way I can - This is will take time to document, it will be an excellent book, no doubt - Patience - Shorty
