Hi all especially members from the Netherlands.

I will be transiting in Amsterdam on Saturday next week (Nov 7) for quite long, arrive at 09:00 am (Amsterdam time) and the next flight will be 20:45.

So it is around 11 hours transit, enough time to get out from Schipol Airport.

Now, I am going to maximize my time to buy records/vinyls. I knew Amsterdam is a records heaven, so tell me for:

a. Saturday market where one hall/arena has tens record sellers
b. Flea market with many record sellers
c. Street area/suburb where records stores are mostly gathered.

I wish somebody can help me.

cheers,

Thanks Dom,

I found this webpage: http://www.dynamitebeurzen.nl/?page_id=8

Using google translator, it seems some info I am after but I am not sure the meaning. It says:

quote:

Beursfabriek:
Symfonielaan 1
Nieuwegein
Openingstijden:
van 09.00 – 16.30 uur

Vrijdag 6 november
Opbouwen van 9.00 tot 16.30 uur
Tevens dealersday
En toegang voor vroege vogels
Zaterdag opbouwen van 7.00 tot 9.00 uur
Zondag 7.45 tot 9.00 uur

So is this fair open on Saturday, Nov 7? from what time? and what is the name of place (mind you using google translator even name a place is also translated to English [Big Grin] )

So Dom, as you are probably speaking Flemish, can you translate it in better way for me please.

Could you also check that webpage if there is another trade closer to Schiphol Airport on Nov 7.

cheers,

Hello, Winbert. From what I understand, it is not in Amsterdam but in a place called Nieuwegein.

Hi

you will just have to look around and "enquire" like all tourist have to. Amesterdam is not that big and you DO have 11 hours. [Cool]

I would not blank on 11 hours. First, the plane has to be on time. Then, you have to allow time to go out of the airport, taking the train to the city and of course time to go back to the airport and go in through the security checks.
