the next film fair in the uk is the FARNWORTH FILM COLLECTORS FAIR. this excellent event has been going for many a year. the next one is to be held at its usual place. TRINITY CHURCH. MARKET ST.FARNWORTH. BL48EX.on saturday february 6th 2016.doors open 11am so plenty of time to get there. entrance fee is just £4. being in the north west it has excellent access from the motorways and is very easy to find. the train station is also just a 5 minute walk away. free parking is available. all gauges of film are on sale on the day plus equipment, memorabelia etc. refreshments are also available a reasonable prices. top dealer MR David Guest will be there with some great films and film equipment for sale. plus the many other excellent regular dealers.i am also told that an auction will once again be held toward the end of the day. i myself have always come away with some rare film bargains. should anyone wish to have a table/stall themselves for a very reasonable charge send me a PM and i can give you the contact number of Nigel Parkinson the event organiser . so make a note of the date and try to attend and support this super film collectors fair. thankyou.

Very friendly event this one.

I remember buying a reel of brand new Star Trek trailers from Uncle Phil many years ago at Farnworth.

I wish I could have made it to more over the years as it is literally up the road from here, but work always intervenes...darn. [Frown]

Will try to pop along this year. [Smile]

I am working David as it stands. The only good news I've seen so far from this year's planner, is I am at least off for my 50th. Off to London now that week. [Smile] )

Typically, I'm never off on my birthday, so there's one plus I suppose!

More than likely I'm afraid David.

I would be very shocked to find out someone placed money on me being anywhere for certain on any given day apart from work.
Even my own immediate family wouldn't place that bet David. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Come on Paul. You know The Lumière Brothers appearing at a Derann Open Day can't be topped in a modern day environment [Wink]

Myself, and everyone else Paul.

I am not seeking any other equipment nowadays other than sync equipment including motor controller boards.

I am coming very close now to closing out my Disney collection. The ones I still don't have, I've been searching globally on an almost daily basis.
If I thought I'd stumble over any of these prints in A1 near mint condition, I'd look to getting someone to swap with me even if I'm rostered in work.

As you say Paul, I have more than enough time to plan ahead to make this a possibility.

The bottom line is, for what I now seek from this hobby, most of it is either tightly held on to, or now almost doesn't even exist in the condition I want it in and at price point I am willing to pay.

If I can't find it in five years of global searches, what chance do you think I may have of finding it at Farnworth or even Blackpool Paul?

I'd love it if there was any realistic chance, but somehow,I doubt it now the years roll by after Deranns closure.

Please please, correct me if you feel I may possibly be wrong with this one Paul.
