Our local historic theatre is showing a sci-fi double feature on Aug 27 - about 15 minutes from my house! I checked, and it is digital, but should still be pretty cool!

Forbidden Planet, followed by It Came From Beneath The Sea.

Hope it's the first of many. I loved the old double bills. If the 'big picture' was tripe, then there was always the second feature or B picture to look out for, plus the news, trailers, 'This Modern Age' (a monthly documentary short) and possibly a cartoon. Three hours of bliss for 4p in the cheap seats. We didn't realise how spoiled we were!!!
