Did anybody catch the 2 Popeyes they showed last week? Meets Sinbad, meets Ali baba and his 40 thieves thier Sinbad had the worse color the water was green my print has blue their sky color was green mine is blue, 40 thieves was much better, of all the copies I've seen are faded to red. Just wondering if anybody else noticed?

They must not have had the rights to the restored versions that were released on the Popeye box sets on DVD a few years back.

This was discussed on 16mmfilmtalk.com and they mentioned part of 40 Thieves in the cave was out of sync.

40 THIEVES had been notorious for having that out-of-sync problem for many, many years before it was finally restored.

Jim, what do ya think of this?:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ POPEYE-THE-SAILOR-MEETS-SINDBAD-1936-400-spool-Super-8mm-colour-sound-/332040707763?hash=item4d4f2b1eb3:g:WLMAAOSwXeJYNFmR

It's waltons, but he claims no fade, with blues remaining- this i'd like to see. Why never screenshots when you need them? [Smile]
Could this one be better than our damaio print?
Paul Foster also has listed a Print of meets Sindbad on Kodak LPP Polyester: http://www.fosterfilms.co.uk/8mmcartoons.htm and says the colour is excellent!

It looks like the same print run as mine, (probably from the same company!), it only lacks in abundant greens. It looks as if the super 8 company used a cyan blue filter on the print when making the prints but hey, it certainly beats a faded to heck red!
