This morning my Windows 10 computer took quite a long time to update. Once all was complete I found that everything had been changed from that I have previously got used to.

Hovering over various items I have now got around it.

But there was nothing to immediately let me access my favourite sites. I eventually found towards the top right corner three parallel horizontal lines which were a link to "Hub (favourites, reading list, history and downloads)".

However, I was initially shocked to see there were no favourites listed. Then I was invited to transfer them from somewhere (I forgot from where it said).

I gingerly clicked and was greatly pleased that they all suddenly re-appeared as before.

I suppose Windows has a reason for such a major update, but I was quite happy with the previous screens.

Yes, it's annoying isn't it. You just have to hope that the faff makes the system more secure.

[Roll Eyes]

All your personal default programs for opening pictures and videos will have reverted to Microsoft's own preference too.

Bah...

I'm sorry that your super 8mm projector has been upgraded and your old films will no longer play. Please upgrade your films to the latest specification which is super 8.123.34mm. Thank you for using Microsoft.

I love the smell of film in the morning.

David, that's very funny...

To be fair guys, no reason not to upgrade to Windows 10.

It's perfectly solid, despite the odd inconvenience.

Holding on to an old platform is just like waiting for a disaster...

My own thoughts, of course...

Actually, David, in this day an age, the reverse applies; let's be positive...

"Oh, your new 4K disc spinner doesn't do "Dolby Vision"? Well, now thanks to a firmware upgrade it does... [Smile] "

Not always the case, but the future isn't always such a bad thing...
