Can anyone tell me the make of the STANDARD 8MM silent projector that is used to advertise forthcoming films on TALKING PICTURES TV here in the UK. I know the music is The Glass Mountain.

I recognise it but the make escapes me for the moment.
Its doing my head in. I could dig out back issues of cine mags from my archive but it may take me ages.

So ANYONE ! [Smile] [Eek!]

I thought the running film was 35mm.

I have just spoken to Sarah at Talking Pictures.
The scene is a mock-up. I often wondered where the film was going!
The projector is a Super 8 Noris 100. The running film is 35mm.
She tells me that the opening scene is to be revised shorty and will feature various sections of archive film showing projectionists handling 35mm projectors.

Maurice thanks for that information.

It is a Noris machine but it is definitely a Standard 8mm one that has been messed about a bit in appearance on the lamp cover grill so it is a mock-up. It is Standard 8mm film running through it not 35mm.

It is the Model NORIS 8 SUPER 100...A Standard 8mm Projector.

Not being a Noris fan I took the information as supplied.
I am referring to the running film (not through the projector) which is 35mm, a result of the mock-up picture.
I have often put my recorder in pause mode to see where the film goes as it never made sense.
Now I know.

Having looked it again it looks more like a Rus 8mm film projector not a Noris. [Smile]
