I don't have much in the way of film soundtracks. I bought the soundtrack of Zulu after the film's re-release about 1970 or 1971. The only other film soundtracks I have are for the Mario Lanza films, 'The Student Prince', 'The Great Caruso', and 'Serenade'.

I volunteer as a techy at a local Community FM Radio station and a few presenters use vinyl regularly and we recently had to replace the stylus and swap over a faulty preamp unit.
Still sounds great even amongst the other music being played which is either CD's or stuff on computers.
With good clean records and a good cartridge its quite hard to pick listening off air as to which is CD or which is vinyl. The station has something like 2500 LP's of varying sorts stored away until we can get bigger premises to be able to once again have a record library. At the moment we are crammed into temporary accommodation and some stuff had to be stored as barely enough room for 2 small studios and office area.

I have never stopped listening to or collecting Lp records since i started my collection around late 1968.

I have around 2000 Classical / Opera /... 560 Film Soundtracks & Shows / 300 Popular & Easy Listening.

I also have a good quantity of 78RMPs too besides 45RPM Singles and EPs.

I use mainly good quality Hi-Fi equipment for playback and listening so no " cheap record molesters " allowed to get anywhere near my collection in my home.

Turntables : LINN SONDEK LP12 / GARRARD 401 / GOLDRING GL 75.

Pickup arms : LINN AKITO MK 1 & 2 arms. / SME 3009 original and Improved versions

Cartridges : ORTOFON SPU GOLD Moving Coil / ORTOFON M20FL SUPER / SHURE V15 MK 3 / OSAWA M60L Moving Coil / SHURE 95ED / SHURE M55E / SHURE M78S. / AUDIO TECHNICA AT95E / NAGAOKA MP11.

Amplifiers : QUAD 22 CONTROL UNIT / QUAD II POWER VALVE AMPS. / QUAD 33 PRE-AMP / QUAD 303 POWER AMP. / ONKYO A-933 INTEGRATED AMP. / YAMAHA DSP -A2 AV AMPLIFIER.

Loudspeakers : QUAD ( ESL57 ) ORIGINAL ELECTROSTATIC. / QUAD 989 ELECTROSTATIC. / MORDAUNT SHORT MEZZO 6 FLOORSTANDING / USHER S 520 BOOKSHELF.

Add to that list a QUAD FM 3 tuner / QUAD FM 4 tuner / CAMBRIDGE AUDIO DAB 300 DIGITAL tuner / and REVOX A77 2 track / TANDBERG TD 20A 4 track Reel to Reel Tape recorders and a NAKAMICHI 1.5 Cassette Deck / and i am in analogue heaven.

I do also have a REGA APOLLO Top loader / ONKYO C-733 CD players for digital CDs and i am doing just fine audio wise.

A few days ago I got out an old 10" LP by Michael Holiday from about 1958; beats anything I have on CD.
