Very sad, he was in some great movies, Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, The Longest yard, (mean machine) and the best version of it in 1974. Dozens upon dozens of movies and a a very good later one was Boogie Nights in 1997, he's won many awards and always fun on chat shows.

Sad, but just a reminder of our frailty as human beings and our mortality. It comes to us all. Some have seemingly better life experiences than others, but we all end up the same. Just enjoy while you can without taking from others.

A funny story about the movie Hooper: a friend and myself went to see Hooper and the co-feature Star Crash. During Hooper the theater was crowded, but by the end of Star Crash (and I am not lying) we were the only people left in the theater. How embarrassing!
