I was wanting to do a record on my scope print of Empire, but I obviously can't use the audio from those mern extended cuts, so, does anybody have a copy of the audio that i could get as a file or on a CD?

Many years ago I had a version that was soft and bluish. I eventually sold it. I now have a much better version. Very sharp and great color. It had to come from Germany as the titles are German.

Osi-Don't you have the original version on laserdisc?

I will be on the look out for a better print! It would be a improvement! There is nothing like a sharp print! With nice color and stereo sound!

I think i might have the original version on laserdisc, but it has the audio cut off per side, of course, but you just gave me a thought, perhaps I could record the whole audio with my Audacity and link it up precisely, so i don't lose any of the soundtrack?

It might be worth a try. I'm not quite sure if i still have the original, untouched trilogy, though, as this would have to be the unscrewed up by lucas original.

Leon ... I'm happy to say that my scope print has absolutely beautiful color. it's one of the German labs prints! Super sharp too!

Osi,

I believe there was a DVD released that included both versions.

I should also point out that Steve Osborne/The Reel Image has new polyester prints of Empire in stereo.

This is the release which includes the original versions as a bonus DVD. Picture is not great and sound is only stereo, but that should be all you need I guess.

If it's just an audio track on CD, I'd certainly appreciate it! [Smile]

Hey Lee ...

In preparation for this DVD arriving from you, there was one thing i forgot to ask ...

Will this DVD be playable on U.S. DVD equipment? I had forgotten that you are overseas, (well, as far as I am concerned).
