Anybody recall this Dekko 9.5mm projector?

 -

This was my second 9.5mm projector, after the Pathescope ACE. I thought I was getting a better projector, because it had the look of a real projector, had two sprockets and 300ft reel arms, and was motorised. But it proved to be a big disappointment, with very dim lighting and a decidedly soft looking picture. As far as performance on the sceen was concerned the 'ACE' was a much better machine.
Of course today you might be able to improve it a lot by converting to halogen lightong and plonking in a better lens.

I see no-one has responded. I've got a couple of these, tho' I have never actually used one. Isn't there a problem with the gate being inaccessible like the Pathescope Kid?

I can't remember about the design of the gate Martyn - too long ago! But I do remember being quite disapointed in the performance of the Dekko, even though it is an attractive looking machine. My next projector was a Eumig P8 which was a quantum leap in all aspects from this 9.5 machine.
