Vidar, yes they make cir splicers for 9.5...I believe you can purchase from Wittmer, but they are pricey... For years I used an exacto blade and laid the film down on my 16mm splicer.

Before I acquired a tape splicer Vidar, in the 80’s I modified a cheap cement splicer filing down the sprocket hole registration pins for 9-5 and cutting out the attached tape sprocket hole by hand with a good art knife. It is possible to make do as I did for many years and those splices are still holding.

Vidar, there are plenty of good 9.5mm cement splicers around with built in scrapers. Many are dual 16/9.5mm. Scraping the emulsion side is essential as is using the correct cement i.e for acetate base or "universal". Ken Finch.

Different cements too? I bought some off eBay that works with my 16mm and Super 8's at least. How would I know which to use?

Super, and I need to check my box with the splicer, as Terry says it contains a scraper (didn't see it, but might be stuck on there somewhere :-) )

Sorry Vidar I thought the splicer had a scraper, but obviously not. If you are looking for a good splicer with inbuilt scraper try Grahame Newnham's site. The Marguet splicer he has for sale is the best cement splicer for 9.5
