Exactly like my ST-1200D MO did. I switched a lot back and forth, the sound came back, but disappeared again. Did not find any solution, I changed the bulb too and used compressed air to clean a little around there.

Nope, as I said, did not find any solution, sadly

I hope to ship all my three ST-1200's to Mr. Parsons in the new year for proper cleaning and adjustments

Bill is excellent with his help on any machine, but ultimately you will need the skills he possesses to be able to achieve the results he does. Sadly only one or two I have come across, can stand a chance of obtaining what Bill can from an Elmo. It takes years of dedication to the brand on these to stand a chance, they are just so temperamental in so many ways I have found.

For the dedicated, with lot's of mods, then you have half a chance of a machine to die for,but for me, other models are far less unpredictable and therefore I give my dedication to those and find the change of direction is serving me really well nowadays.

Go to The BFCC home page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "links". His contact details are there under the projector repairs heading.
