Get this. I ordered a print of Rocky from Derann a few months back. Well, I just saw reel 1 when I received it but I didn't watch the rest of the print till today. Lo and behold, reels 2 and 3 were so out of sync that it was almost unbearable to watch! So I get the feeling that someone tried to re-record this film and didn't do such a great job. Has this happened to anyone else out there? Have you received a film that was out of sync?

I have a print of Laurel & Hardy's "Pardon Us" from Blackhawk and the sound is off just a smidge - barely noticeable. I have seen other titles with sync issues. This is not, in any way, common but it has been known to happen from time to time.

Yes I do have a few where the synch is just a tad out- Yellow Rose of Texas being a case in point. Not enough to be bothered with trying to re-record. Unfortunately it only encourages my other half to suggest that DVD is cheaper, better quality and need I go on?

Hi Alan, a while back I bought an imported(from where I don't know)new print of the feature "7th Voyage of Sinbad" from Derann. Reel 1 was slightly out of sync, the other four were fine. As soon as I informed Derann, they had me send the reel back and they re-recorded it with perfect results. They were very good about it, but it did cost me $12.00 postage, which I didn't mind paying to get it fixed.
