Does anyone ever use the chat section of this forum? - I've gone in there alone and left the same way - Be nice if we could all bounce inquiries off each other at a designated time - How about it? - Shorty

I've ventured in there also, but couldn't find any sign of life. I didn't quite understand how it worked and why it differed from the regular forum. Sometimes I can't find any signs of life on the forum! But then people are so busy and there aren't many of us film collectors even on a worldwide basis. Hello...hello...hello, is anybody in there.........

I've tried to get in too but with out success, there seems to be a lot of colours and numbers and passwords required, all too confusing for me...
Dan, I know what you mean about there sometimes being no signs of life on the forum but that's not altogether surprising, even the hugely popular 8mm filmshooting forum with in excess of 1200 registered members has days of little or no posting.
The good thing is though that this forum [and the shooting 8mm forum] is very focussed, the moment a query or comment is posted the replies come and they tend to be useful and well intentioned.
Probably better than having a broader base and a desperate attempt to think of new topics in order to play the numbers game?

I usually enter there without difficulty; Click the upper-left corner of the screen that says "chat" and go from there, no matter - Shorty

It asks me for a user name and password, I put in the name/password I have just used to login to the forum and I get told I'm wrong.

David, I just put in my name as it appears on the left; Mike Peckham, and didn't put anything in the password bit and that got me in. Probably because I was already logged on, might be worth trying.
