This Pathescope Princess is attracting a lot of bidding (17) on EbAY. This simple little 9.5mm projector is extremely basic in design and construction and could not have cost very much at all when it was new, and yet here it is up to $400.00 with a day to go! Obviously a true collectors item and a definite conversation piece.

Can you believe this little tin-can projector sold for $1,520.00 with 32 people bidding on it!!! That's more than a GS1200!! If your wife thinks cine equipment is a waste of money show her this one. Guess I'll hang on to my little Pathescope hand cranked projector, looks like Pathescope equipment is apreciating really fast. Unbelievable.

Paul, what an interesting auction. I guess this means projectors and other film related items are alive and well in the collector's market. I know a large square footage of my home is becoming quite stuffed with memorabilia. The ending price was really shocking. It sure looked like a well preserved machine. [Smile]

Hi Dan,
Yes it looks like it's in mint condition. The seller obviously took a lot of time to clean and polish up the projector, and adjusting lighting to get some really great photo's , and his efforts really paid off for him when you look at the selling price. A lesson that should be learned by all eBay sellers of movie equipment.

the small white square in the picture supposidly of the projector on the wall kindof looks suspicious, what do you think? the projector shows no lighting at all like most do [Confused]
