I came across this fabulous cine projector/camera museum site while browsing this afternoon. Maybe some of you have been to this one before, but I have not. It's a German language site, but who cares, just look at these fabulous projectors and cameras, all beautifully photographed. Much equipment here that I am seeing for the first time. Well worth a visit, and eat your heart out!

Hi Tom,
Yes that Heurtier is a stunning looking machine. Jean-Marc is our resident expert on the French Heurtier's, and I know he is always on the prowl for a good looking one. Heurtier's were wonderful machines, and I think they were the most beautiful looking projectors ever produced (the French have a flair for beautiful designs). Movie Maker test reports were always excellent, and you can find one on Mark Sylvesters UK Forum, under Movie Maker archives. Interestingly, the Heurtiers had two highly polished rubies pressing in the center of the film in the gate area, in order to get the film perfectly flat in the gate. They also had a rear sprung gate , so I bet the sharpness of the picture in these machines is something to behold.

Very nice site, well done, Paul! There's also a lad somewhere in Greece who's collecting projectors... I need to find the URL and I'll post it here.
The Heurtier Stereo 42 is great. Avoid the P6 or stick to silent films only.

Fantastic... This is one of those moments that I'm glad I'm German [Big Grin]
That Heurtier Stereo 42 has quite a bit of similarity to the Beaulieu 708 EL ... they're both gorgeous, that's for sure!
