I was on Phil's website yesterday and found this listing:

 -

I vaguely remember what was the brand new price, so I checked on several threads in this forums and found it was $259.

I quickly emailed Phil to order it but it has gone ...
[Razz]

So who was the lucky one.... [Wink]

Can somebody provide us the screen shot of this brand new release please.

cheers,

Didn't it come in 3 parts? I see this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm /Super-8-Sound-TRUE-LIES-2X400ft-Arnold-Schwarzenegger-Color-Scope-Like-New-/322554863894?hash=item4b19c4a116:g:plgAAOSwR29ZExhy
So it could be the 1st 2 parts or maybe the last one? Or...?
I think whats most shocking is the site was updated! I use to check Phil's site a lot when he actually had stock that changed. I haven't checked that site in YEARS.
I just checked it. I think he has the limited edition gold plated GS800 on that site. [Razz]

What I knew, it would be 2 part where part#1 is 600' (32 minutes) and part #2 is 300' (12 minutes) making total 44 minutes.

The Ebay listing seems to divide the 600' on to 400' where we can see the first reel is not full.

Phil's item above is 600' so it is the same item with the above ebay listing.

I'm not sure I understand well. From what I read, nor of the versions are complete and they are different. The EBay seller says it's the two first reels of a three reels versions and Phil says it's the first part of a two parts versions.

It is just the same Dom.

Ebay listing = 600' on 2 x 400' spool
Phil's = 600' on 1 x 600' spool.

None of part#2 has been released. We are all waiting for it. It will be around 300' (12 minutes).

Back to the topic. Who was the lucky one?

Cheers,

Part Two (12 minutes) has been out for a few months.

There is only 2 parts. The first part can work on its own and doesn't need the second part because it has a satisfactory conclusion. The second part can be added right to the first part to flow just like the feature but can also work as a stand alone action piece as well. A very clever edit. I recommend both parts! [Smile]

Bill, the confusion here is that the first part came on two 400' reels, at least the copy I have did.

Joe you bring up a good point. Mine was also on 2-400' reels/spools. When I say first part I am referring to the 2-400' [Smile]

Others may have received it on a (one part) 600' reel(?).
My complete digest (originally on three separate reels) fits nicely on a Bonum 800' reel, and runs forty-five minutes, not counting leader countdown and tail...

Yes I understand. When I say first part I am referring to the 2-400' reels/spools that was released first. The second part I refer to is the 3rd 400' reel/spool that was released. I think all the releases were 400' but there were only 2 releases.

I hope that doesn't confuse everyone more than they already seem to be confused! Now I may be confused! [Big Grin]

Doug thanks for the info. I never knew part#2 has been released.

Joe, according to Doug who wrote the information at the very first time, the part 1 was releases on a 600' spool.

There might be a problem to get 600' spools as no one make it any longer so labs changed it on to 2*400' spools. But as we can see on the above Ebay listing the spool #1 is not full.

Here is Doug's first report:

Well, the person who bought it saved $100.00, yes, a very good price and it's worth it. I'm sure if it has any flaws Phil would have mentioned it. He describes his prints accurately...
