I wondered if anyone knows of a source of Bauer spares anywhere? I have one of their later Super 8 cameras, which had a rather nice lens cap that stayed in place via a spring-loaded mechanism, but lost it a few years ago. I know I'd be lucky to get a replacement but it's worth a try!

Hi,

Wittner is selling several "Objektivdeckel" (lens caps):
http://www.wittner-kinotechnik.de/katalog/08_aufna/b_optike.php
As you can see, the "model with springs" is a "hama snap" that should be available in every better photoshop. (If not, they should be able to order it.) (BTW: You can also use www.hama.de to search for a fitting model - it can be switched to English on the left side. A direct link (this sometimes doesn't work as it switches back to German, ...):
http://www.hama.de/portal/articleTypeId*34/action*1124/q*snap/searchMode*1
)
