I see it's this weekend coming, I wondered if anyone is going. I went last year for the first time and was really impressed by the event, it was small but really friendly with loads of film bargains to be had.

If I could possibly make it I would be there. But it's an awful long way.

John

I'm afraid I couldn't get a days pass for another Saturday out this month, having already negotiated a day at the BFCC (which incidently happens to be on the weekend the in-laws are staying [Roll Eyes] ) and another for a toy and model railway fair the Saturday prior. I got the old "you go if you want to" line which has a cleverly hidden sub text of "you'll pay for it if you do", so I chose not to...

That said, I want to hear how it went. Mark, did you manage to get there?

Mike , it was a nice relaxed day out and as usual allways a good bargain to be had at Tadley. Came away with a minty Kawa 8Z scope lense in its box for £75, Nice Professional quality Draper frame screen for £50, plus plenty of good quality second hand films which have all turned out to be tip top, only one cheapo 200ft had a bit of fade.
In the theatre an excellent Super 8 Scope Show, with many of the new releases, and on an 18ft Scope Screen! The highlight for me was a long extract from the Star Wars feature (witch had been re-recorded?) with realy top notch sound.

I managed to make Tadley and it was a really great day out, actually managed to catch most of the shows this time around too,the Super 8 scope show was superb and featured T2-THE CHASE and END OF DAYS along with Dave Locke's excellent re-recorded stereo print of STAR WARS.

The films were as cheap as chips too and I picked up a couple of Elvis 400fts for a fiver a pop!!

Congrats to Geoff Wheeler,Dave Locke and co for a great day out!!

Mark,
Might be tempted to buy 'End of Days' so I wondered how the print compared to the other items on that big screen? And does it make any sense if you haven't seen the feature?

Hi-Adrian,

Well the print looked superb in my opion, looked as good if not better than the T-2 extract!!

The sound on the print was also excellent.

I would say that this extract being the last reel of the feature stands up very well on its own,it even starts with the BBFC 18 cert at the start.

Well done Derann for another top release!!!

Cheers Mark
