I know the Beaulieu 708 projector has its detractors but what about the lens? I ask this because Wittners in Germany has the lenses NOS. I fancy an upgrade for my Eumig S938 stereo. I need to get back to 12.5mm on the zoom for my screen size. The options might be the Eumig S940 lens but then I thought about the Beaulieu? Anyone know the barrel diameter and fitting.

I use to own the Eumig S940 and I think the Beaulieu Lens fit right into the Eumig no problem. I know the 1.0 Ektar lens fits into the Beaulieu without modification and that I believe has the 32mm barrel.

Very useful information. Thanks. I think I will try Wittners with an email enquiry. Unless anyone has the S940 lens going spare? - I believe that's a 1.1 zooming back to 12.5mm. I have the Elmo lens which is the 1.1 12.5 zoom and I use it with my pair of ST600s but some claim it WILL fit the Eumig. The pin could be filed ( reluctant to do this ) but I think even then the front part of the barrel is thicker and I don't believe it will go back to focus. Any tips on any other useful lenses appreciated.

I dont think that you can use the Elmo lenses for the S940 or the Beaulieu. I have a Schneider 1.1 made for the Elmo because the regular Beaulieu Schneider does not fit.

I have used the Elmo f1.0 lens in my Beaulieu 708EL Pro. That was about 15 years ago though, so I'm not sure if I had to do any sort of modification to make it work though...but it either DOES fit or CAN be done.
