I see a switch on the ST-180E ETC that switches from "normal" to "etc". It has to do with Telecine, I know that. I've seen K-100SM ETCs' as well.

It probably stands for Electronic TeleCine or the like and most probably sets the machine to 25fps or whatever is required for the TV system in that particular country.

Cant help anymore on that as I have never seen one of these machines. It would be interesting to know if anyone has an instruction book for one of these models to know exactly what it stands for and what it does.

Kev.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Hi Kevin & Robert,
wih regards to ETC, I saw a projector for sale on ebay that also had ETC as a feature.
asked the seller what it stood for.
As he still had the original box that it came in, we could see that it stood for "Electronic Touch Control" whatever that may be.. It was clearly printed on the box. ETC.
So while we don't know what it means, we know what it stands for in that case.
