When you don't have film shows or events in the area you just gotta put on your own event. This will be our third year and its always been a fun event for family and friends.

That's Cool Terry!
I was going to screen Toy Story (the original) on the patio the weekend before last in honor of TS3 coming out, but life is so crazy during the summer it didn't come off.
(We did a reel per night in the living room instead.)

Well Dan, the show will be in a couple of weeks and I've probably invited too many people to fit in our backyard but usually the right amount show up for a comfortable night. While the mosquito situation is not horrible bug spray will be used!
I'll report back when its over, hopefully with a few pics.

Nicely done, Terry. In fact, can you tell us how you put the graphics together? Can we steal your ideas? Or at least see pictures of the event? Sounds like great fun.

As it turns out Winbert is about 30min West of me and is planning to attend with some cartoons.
Last year I lived the old saying "The Show Must Go On" That morning I sliced off the tip of my finger while gardening! So there was my morning in emerg getting it sewed back on!! When I got home the skies turned dark so I had to quickley set up our canopy before the rains came...and they did.. and then it got unseasonably cold! But alas it ended well, the skies cleared by the time showtime arrived and the canopy gave us a large dry spot(we just ended up wearing jackets and sweaters that cool July evening BUT a fun time was had by all!)
I'm expecting this year to go more smoothly.........
Bill, I was going to use a model I made years ago in 3D Studio Max for the flyer but decided on manipulating a photo of a favourite sign instead, so don't give me too much credit. ( I love those vintage drive-in signs ) so steal away! All you need is Photoshop. Here is the 3D Drive-In (maybe I'll use it another year)
