Hi,

I am new to collecting, so I have so many questions.

I have just bought a Super 8 copy of 'Charlie on Board' With Charlie Chaplin made by Arrow Movies.

Do anyone have any info on Arrow Movies? I would like to find out what titles they made, when they were released etc.

Many thanks

Andy

Cool site. I only have two of them so more hunting required.

I only knew Arrow from the Thunderbird films.

Thanks, will look out for those.

The logo on the Chaplin film I found is slightly different, but the website says the logo changed.

I may dig up some more information later but, for the time being... Arrow released relatively only a few films beside the Gerry Andersons., Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy one reel extracts, six of each, two Popeyes from the 60es tv series: (Popeye and the Robot, Seeing Double),about ten Felixes (reduced from 9.5) and,two *Fairy Tales": (Jack and the Beanstalk, Beauty and the Beast) ,which were John Daborn's ambitious attempts at producing original cartoons directly for the 8mm market.

Panayotis - I wondered if some of those were available with sound, as I don't think I've ever come across an Arrow sound film.

Phil Shreard of CHC once told me that one of the Thunderbirds one reel films was produced with sound but it's clearly very rare - has anyone ever seen this? He also said the colour Thunderbirds film still look good as they were Technicolor.

They also produced a range of 'Movie Title' releases which only last a few seconds, as the idea was that Buyers would splice them into home movies.
