Hi,

Has anyone had any experience of shooting Kodak 100D with a Minolta XL camera (I have the 84XL)?

I wondered if needed to open the aperture up any as I believe the camera will read the 100D as 160ASA.

Hi Mark,

I just finished shooting with Minolta 64XL using 100D. It will be sent to Dwayne today and will report the result here. I believe 64XL and 84XL are basically the same only the optic different (lens).

According to the information provided by other members say that 64XL and 84XL can read 100.

Hi Mark,

I just received my 100D reel from Dwayne shot with Minolta 64 XL. Below are some screen shots that I tried to get at the best possible. However, as you may know that 8mm is 18 fps, plus I used only cellphone camera and in addition, my hands are shaking too, so all pictures are blurry.

Beside, each digital camera has different setting from one brand to another. To give you the idea, I used two cell phone as to compare. If you see some different color tone between the top and bottom pictures, that because different camera I used. Enjoy!..

Samsung A766 Cell phone

LG GD510 Cell phone

Outdoor (sunshine) shooting

Indoor shooting (no shooting light was used)

To sum up, my impression to 100D is very good. You can now forget the 64T. All colors look natural.

In low light condition (indoor shooting) you can still get decent pictures as long as there are domestic lighting around yo due to higher speed compare to 64T or K40.

Now about the 100D with Minolta (in this case I was using 64XL, but I believe 84XL is just basically the same):

From my point of view

1. We don't need to attach any other filter, just open the current built in filter and do shooting

2. The meter reads 100D, however, I have a feeling that it is too low resulting a bit dark picture. For next shooting, I will try manual exposure and increase it a bit from what the auto meter reads.
