I once had three copies of Night Of The Living Dead. While we all wind up with some duplicates either through swaps or looking to upgrade a print, have you ever purchased a second copy of a film just to have it?

Yes. James Bond trailers. I will never have enough. But I also bought Star Wars 200', The Sound Of Music 400', Dr Cyclops 200'. They were part of a multi-film buy so I could get a certain title. If anybody wants any of them let me know.(not the 007 trailers)

Yes bulk purchases result in me obtaining films that I might already have. I will eventually use them as trading stock whenever I can make it to a film swap here in The States are in the U.K.

I had a print of a film I liked that was turning red.

-Bought a second print and wound up with one that was scratched instead!

John...I have a few double 200'ers like cartoons and some boxing films. I also have two super 8 prints of Hitchcock's 'The 39 Steps.'

One is from Thunderbird Films and the print quality is pretty nice...good contrast, fairly sharp but it does have lines here and there, but nothing too bad.

The other is from Niles and the print quality is ok but not as good as the Thunderbird. It looks washed out and the focus is soft especially on my 6' screen. But, there are no lines or scratches on the print.

I prefer the Thunderbird but for some reason I want to keep both of them. It would be nice to put them together and have ONE nice print!

Sounds silly doesn't it?
