Hello everyone,
For 15+ years I have been a collector of classic video games (mainly Atari, Intellivision, Coleco, etc.) and one of the really cool perks of the hobby is that there are still some die hards who homebrew their own games. Some of the end products are truly incredible considering the limited hardware they are working with. Some brewers go as far as making boxes and manuals!
So, I'm wondering, is there such a thing as a homebrew digest? I know that super-8 faded with the onset of VHS here in the states, but I couldn't help but wonder what post super-8 digests of popular films would have looked or been like (packaging and all).
For example, I'm pretty sure there is no digest for the '82 Eastwood film Firefox. What would the packaging have looked like? What scenes would have been selected for a 400' reel?
How would one go about transfering say a first run VHS of the film (which would be the most non-hi def, close to digest style picture) from video to film?
Just something that has been running thru my mind...
