Today i have purchased a 2 pin DIN and some speakers i then wired it all up and yippeee i have some amazing sounds in my projection room.Tried them out with Close Encounters and im very impressed.Even the wife had to admit it sounded good [Smile]

You can actually place true surround sound on super 8 as well!

You need a stereo recording projector (obviously) and an original Dolby stereo surround version of the soundtrack (with just the left and right channels). I have found that earlier releases of, for instance "STAR WARS" with it's original Dolby Surround mix sound great in surround and the effects come forth pretty good. It's not as good as a DVD or Laserdisc surround processing (as were, for the most part, dealing with an aging magnetic stripe) ...

but the surround is more than passable.
