I was wondering whether it's possible to load Super 8 into a Single 8 cartridge. I really like the ability to rewind and double expose, but it's getting hard to find labs that will process Single 8 quickly and reliably these days.

Yes you can do it. It is the same film format. You will ooad between 12 and 14 meters per cartridge depending of film base. I have read a lot about this in spanish forum member´s post. Single 8 fans do that to get their desired emulsion. Someone used a cheap Fujica AX100 to make a motorised rewinder, just sawing a side to get the film enter the cartridge. You click the button and the film is being winded. I have seen a manual version made by one of them on ebay.

Oscar, thanks for the info. Do you have any links that outline the process? I can Google to translate the Spanish forum pages, so those would do as well.
