Help! I just got my first projector and I was first setting it up. I ran a film through it and it wasn't coming out to the other reel and I stopped it and rewound it and it ended up breaking my film leader and breaking the very beginning of the actual film. I tried again and it still isn't feeding through. So I took off the cover to see what was up and when it gets to this part with a spring it stop going and the film just keeps bunching up. What do I do. I have never use a Super 8mm projector before?

OK if your film has reached the position on the second photo, it means you already push the loop button (ps: my Chinon 330 MV has the button pushed automatically when the film is thread. So maybe your projector has the same mechanism too)
If film is still bounced up then your need to trim the leader. If you do not have a film trimmer, just use any scissors and cut a couple millimeter from the current leader. Trim it by making a sort of a ">" shape.
ps: your leader is seen to has been damage. I think you need to try with other films otherwise although you have trimmed it, it will keep bouncing.

It has all been figured out. Pat (who sold me it helped me). The Post office dropped the box and a bin slid out to feed the film the rest of the way!
