Can anyone tell me what happened to Mike Kent, back in the 70s I built a DIY four channel sound mixer that he wrote up as a how to do in his regular "Sound Sense" part. His articles in Flm Making were always an interesting read.

I was using that mixer today and it still works a treat although its mono.

I have also got his book "Add Sound To Your Movies" and its still good reading.

Graham.

This forum is amazing. Just looking at my old Film Making mags, I've bought a few old ones recently too. I too was thinking are the old writers still around. Also got some old Movie Makers, Amateur Film Maker, 8mm Movie Maker. Really enjoying read them.
I once had e-mail from Edwyn Gilmour's daughter who used to write in Movie Maker, sadly lost it due to p.c. crash. Reason I put issue of Movie Maker on my website.
It would be good to hear from the old school and their tales of old.

I also wonder what happened to the films made by the readers of the mags.

Would anyone be interested if I scan some mags and put a link up here? Could be PDF or CBR format.

Film is Magic and for some reason seems alive, Getting Nostalgic for my early collecting days.

I love the smell of film in the morning.

Michael Bliss, who used to do a column in MAKING BETTER MOVIES, which grew out of MOVIE MAKER, is a regular contributor over at 16mmfilmtalk. I've dealt with Mike on a few occasions - really nice and knowledgeable collector.
