Tonight before my weekly showing for my film series, my forward and reverse nob on my Elmo St. 800 snapped, and I had to use a pair of pliers through out the night. Luckily I was able to call Marvin Meister from The Photo Center in LA, Who primarily works on Elmo's, and actually makes those and other parts himself.
I highly recommend him. He has worked on both my 8mm Elmo FP, and my super Elmo St 800. His phone number is 323-653-6688

Oh my goodness. He's a relatively unknown gem. I met him years ago and would do well to remember him more often!
Yes, recommended! I don't know what the scope of his repair abilities is, but he's definitly a pretty skilled engineer. And his store is a Kodak camera store throwback to about 1980. They don't make em like that anymore (store AND Marvin).
