As fabulous as this equipment looks, the Bolex Sonorizer is totally impractical for playing back any standard 8mm package movies due to the non-standard picture to sound separation..
It was a good idea at the time, but all these sound adaptors had a very short lifespan, being quickly replaced by proper R8 sound stripe projectors with standard 56 frames separation.
I really like the Bolex tape synchroniser a lot better than the Sonorizer. The Bolex sycnhronizer was a very neat method of syncing the M8 projector to any reel-to-reel tape recorder.

Whilst I agree with what you say and personally favour cine equipment being restored and used, there are certain pieces of equipment like the Sonorizer that put me right there with the glass-cabinetters!
