Yet ANOTHER ebay projector that did not mach the " working" description [Mad]
got a Eumig Mark-s-710D looks good, has all the gates n sprockets.. but.. does not play or rewind..i scuffed up the discs and it now plays, but not rewind.. i guess the motor mounts must be perished ? i can see one white triangular mount on the front of the motor but it looks ok..
if i "lift" the motor at the bottom it plays ok.. is there any adjustment available ?

also there is NO sound .. i played a super8 laurel and hardy film but i only hear a hum [Roll Eyes] and yes i did switch between N and S to no avail.. bad capacitors maybe ?
any thoughts greatly appreciated , Rob [Smile]

ps silly question but does the take up spool arm have a removable super 8 attachment or is it just the front one ?

The rear arm has only a Super 8 fitting.

The sound problem could be wear of the springs on the pressure pads to the heads I've had that with a 903.

I have a Mark S 712D with no sound as well. I can play the sound through an external amplifier though by connecting it to the DIN socket on the lower right of the front panel.

Hooray got it working [Big Grin]
i did the red record button clean fix and it worked..
i sprayed the contact switch on the mainboard, and triggered the record switch a few times.. et voila .. i have sound.. saw it outlined in an old post here
http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=008169

i also scratched up the discs some more and i now have play and reverse .. a good day.. for a change .. [Wink]

all i need now is a super8 take up spool..
