I'm looking for electrical cords having plugs of the kind shown below. Can anyone recommend a source?

If you have a Menard's in your area, check them out.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, there aren't any Menard's stores in my area and their online store appears not to offer any electrical cords.

Menard's referred to cords similar to what you are after as "small appliance" cords. They have various different ends. If some store in your area has cords, ask if they have "small appliance" cords. If so, browse them and you may get lucky.

I'm sorry I didn't notice your reply sooner.

The cords are for Zeiss Moviscop 8mm viewers. I've three viewers and only one cord, and that's borrowed from another device, so I really need three cords.

I'm still searching for a supplier of this plug. I've found no one in the USA or Europe who has it, although it must have been common once.

It looks like the same power cord that the Bolex 18-5 models take. I have done several searches on-line with no luck. If anyone finds a source for the cord or just the end so I can make my own cord please post it.

Did some research for you and this is what I got out of it:
The connector is called "IEC 60320 C9" ( picture )
I found the following company producing it: Schurter
You can go to your country on their web site and download the according catalogue; you can also find distribution partners. In the catalogue it states that for this plug the packaging size is 50 pieces, I'm afraid.

Alexander,
That is a wonderful site you have found! I have bookmarked it in my browser as I'm sure it will prove useful.

"Did some research for you and this is what I got out of it . . ."

Thanks very much. It would appear that Schurter offers only the modern equivalent of this plug, which won't fit the Moviscop viewer. I suppose an alternative would be to install an EIA receptacle in the viewer so that it'll accept plugs currently available.

I'm still trying to find a supplier of these cords (and I now need half a dozen). None of the suppliers mentioned in the thread has these obsolete cords. They are, as Bryan indicated, the same as those supplied with Bolex 18-5 projectors. Any help would be much appreciated.
