I noticed a damp spot in the ceiling last week and upon inspection I found out that the roof is leaking. If that is not annoying enough, the leak was just above a cardboard box with cine stuff that isn't in regular use. The box was absolutely soaking wet. Most of the stuff was fine with water, but unfortunately, I also stored a few very nice lenses in that box. An Elmoscope, a Xenovaron 1.1, a very nice 30-70mm zoom lens for Eiki 16mm projectors, and a few other gems. Even though all the lenses seem to be ok, I am a bit worried about them having been in a very moist environment for (probably) a couple of weeks. So, I would like to have them all taken apart and cleaned (the Elmoscope was not in use, since it wasn't aligned properly, so needs attention anyway). I took them to a local camera shop, but their repair man didn't take on this type of jobs.

So my question is, can anyone recommend a place in the UK, SouthEast England preferred, but elsewhere is fine too (if it is in the South-East of England I can take them there myself).
Alternatively, if any of you fine people enjoy this sort of thing and is capable of doing these nice lenses justice, let me know too. I will pay for the work done, of course.

Hello Rob. If the lenses look unaffected, I would not touch them. Just keep them in a dry a warm place for recovery.
