A warm thank s to our close friends and colleagues who made yet another show a great one - John Black would be so proud - We await Claus and his wonderful pictures - I especially regard Doug Meltzer and Lou Franchetti, always at the helm of the show while I keep an eye on the rest of you [Smile] - Shorty

It was definitely one of the best ones, but then again they've all been good!

Just back from another meeting of film collectors in lovely, but rather cold, Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. What a wonderful time with great congenial friends with a passion for film and all the stuff that goes with it. We thank Lou and Doug for putting on a great weekend.
I sold two projectors, got one fixed by a kind and good fellow collector, sold several films....swapped for some film and even gave away some films. We had good food, good showings ...good fun. Imagine a room full of film collectors, a room with 7 projectors running at once...piles of films, great conversation and swapping of information back and forth all day and well into the night. I got to meet several collectors for the first time, collectors who, up to this weekend, were just names on the 16mm and 8mm forums.
As always, the hotel was at our command....a great place to stay and play.

Next one, Oct. 16th and 17th. You're crazy if you don't come to these things!!

Great time as usual, sharing stories about film and life, meeting new "faces from the forum"....it is always good.

I'll get some photos up as soon as I can.

Claus.

I wonder if the Ocean Holiday has a whiteboard we can use:

"FRIDAY NIGHT FEATURE
(Seventh Voyage of Sinbad)
8:00PM Hospitality Room"

"SATURDAY BREAKFAST
(Crusader)
Meet at 8:30 outside the office"

"Has anybody found Bob's rattlesnake? (don't worry: It's tame.)."

(etc.)

We'd just need to get "bold" and "italic" markers. [Wink]

Claus always does a good job, even if it takes time to do it right.

Here's a teaser:

 -

-even if it's not a great picture, it's actually a rare CineSea photo: Claus is in it!

This is late(ish) Friday afternoon. Doug has placed his GS Xenon in big screen position for the Friday Night Feature. (We set up the large screen about an hour earlier.) It's still early and the folks that went to work on Friday still aren't there.

Every so often somebody else shows up and the room gradually fills up. It's actually possible to show up just a little too early.

-all you find is tables and the sound of the ocean!

Thanks, Steve ! A picture with projectors and reels is always appealing...
