Hi all, I have a Sankyo Sound-700 projector, when I plug it in the lights illuminate around the knobs and sound meter. But that's all, turning the selector to get it running either way has no effect, the motor isn't turning etc. Can it be fuses?
Cheers, Clinton

Hi Clinton,
Maybe, but probably not. Sometimes an electronic device will have small fuses on printed circuit boards to protect the fine traces on the board from damage the main fuse at the input can't prevent because it allows too much current.
Higher power sections like the transport motor and lamp are usually protected by just the main fuse. If that was the cause of you losing your motor, everything else should have gone out too.
If the motor doesn't work, it's an electrical connection, or one of the switches that controls it or the transformer secondary that powers it or maybe the motor itself.
