There is a 'scope 200 Footer of "Do-Re-Me", the color and sound are quite good. It begins with a brief snip of the main title and then jumps to Maria and the children on a balcony overlooking Salzburg learning about musical notes, then of course the song begins. It's complete all the way up to them coming up the steps at the very end.
-our print actually belongs to my wife, and I really doubt she's looking to sell!
It's kind of cool to go to Salzburg and then see "Sound of Music", after you do you keep seeing backgrounds and recognizing places you've been.
We took the Sound of Music bus tour. A lot of it is the Guide explaining that even though the Von Trapps are real people, the story is adapted as a musical and not completely the way it actually happened. (Examples: in real life they'd been married for years, Maria was actually the disciplinarian and the escape was really with forged papers and train tickets to Italy.)
-he told us one time he was standing at the base of the stairs awaiting tips as the tourists de-bussed, and this woman walked up to him, looked him in the eyes and said "You've ruined my LIFE!"
