I have an Elmo 912 editor and the screen flickers a lot. You have to crank it much faster than 24fps to not get flicker. Mine is the only one I've ever operated, so I wonder if this happens to any others. I have a cheaper Baia editor that works better than this and I know the Elmo is the rolls royce of editors, so there must be a problem. Thanks.

Dan,
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I don't consider the Elmo 912 the rolls royce of editors [Roll Eyes] Not in my opinion...
I had a couple of them and sold them. There are others that are just as good or better...

Daniel

You are right about the degree of flicker. I have a Elmo 912 editor also and it does annoy me as well. Goyko might be better.

There is a silent elmo 912 editor, which do you have?. The sound version is in fact made by goko for elmo, and has the prisms for flicker free operation. If you have the sound version check that all prism face's are clean and also the mirror is aligned up correctly. They do over time get dusty and grimey, you will be surprised at how much light is lost, and these are not bright to start with, so all light to the screen will make a big difference.

Paul, I have the sound version. I will try to clean as many parts as I can. Thanks for the tip.
