For years and years I have always wondered what was Castle thinking when they approved this title? What the hell is the relevance to the footage in the cutdown from "It's A Gift"?

I think it refers to when weighing something on a scale and adding a little pressure with your thumb to tip the scale and then collect more for the goods sold. This might be a nod to W C owning or working at a store in the cutdown

Thanks, Bill. Now as a kid in the camera shop browsing through the rack of films how the hell was I supposed to even put that together? Awful title. Also hate the " No -------, Please" titles. Always thought it silly. At last an explanation. I can sleep better now. I'm kidding. Seriously, thanks again.

Yeah some of the re-titles were pretty bogus. [Smile]

Bill
Correct me if I'm wrong but 'It's a Gift' was a film starring Snub Pollard not WC Fields?

Both comics made films with the same title.

NO INDIANS, PLEASE! was one of Castle's first, if not THE first, Abbott and Costello release. They also released NO BULLS, PLEASE! later on. Were there any other NO ---- , PLEASE titles?

BTW, in THE BIG THUMB Fields leans on the scale -- but doesn't use his thumb.
