I wondered if anyone knows the answer to this, through experience or actual science...If you receive a print that was formerly cleaned with one type of cleaner, say Film Renew, would it be alright to, when needed, clean it with a different cleaner like Film Guard? Or are there any "reaction" possibilities that could potentially damage the print in doing so?

It's been asked before, but it's OK, I do it all the time! [Smile]

Regards the question, I know that I've neve had a problem with treating a film with a different cleaner than the one used by the previous owner.

...Thanks for the reply! That's the feedback I'm getting too.
There have been so many Film cleaning posts That I couldn't find one to answer my question. I probably didn't search hard enough.

I got a film that was clearly cleaned with Lemon Pledge, it had a strong lemon odor. I cleaned it a few times with Filmrenew and it's fine. Still has a slight lemon odor.

Lemon Pledge? Why would someone think of using that? Was it something suggested years ago?

It was recommended years ago to clean up black scratches.
